Last week, Novara Sensing participated in the 2026 Headwaters Tech Hub Summit in Missoula. The Summit brought together technology developers, industry leaders, and partners from across Montana to discuss innovation, collaboration, and the opportunities created by the state’s growing technology ecosystem.

Novara CEO Thomas Coleman joined the “Wicked Problems and Innovative Solutions” panel to discuss how Montana companies can apply resourcefulness, strong partnerships, and innovative technology to difficult problems. The conversation included the challenges of moving from a promising idea to a proven solution, as well as the importance of developing capable systems that remain practical, efficient, and cost-effective.

Novara also demonstrated one of its C-UAS sensor system during Demo Day at the University of Montana’s Lubrecht Experimental Forest. The outdoor event provided an opportunity to demonstrate the system in a relevant field environment with multiple UAVs in the air and introduce participants to Novara’s work in advanced sensing for defense and security applications.

We appreciated the opportunity to share our technology, learn from other Montana innovators, and strengthen relationships across the region’s technology and defense ecosystem. Thank you to the Headwaters Tech Hub team for organizing an excellent event and bringing together Montana and the wider region's growing innovation community.
